That is a solution that the late Jeff "The Diceman" Laudeman recommended for dice that were crystallizing. I did do it to a few of ours, about a decade ago...but I'm not sure I'd remember which ones. It does help. However...I tried it on some dice that were imploding, and it just made them sticky...didn't help a bit.

I know that the Aladdin dice below were coated with clear nail polish, probably the Hacienda, and whatever is next to Nob Hill. I don't know if the spots were turning yellow before the nail polish, or not.
