Looking at the majority of the matches on the Sahara page, the stapled end is at the top of the scan, so the front cover (if the matchbook were closed) of the matchbook is right side up. Looking at the majority of my matchbook scans, they're the same way. So...in my opinion, Don the Beachcomber would be readable
