Rich... If a box sat on a wet concrete surface for years... lets say a damp basement floor, wouldn't a chip absorb water and dry over and over again? At the bottom of the box where all the chips touched the wet cardboard couldn't the same damage happen to every chip in the box? Maybe it was a bleachy basement floor...
