So my husband and I were walking through Broadacres, lamenting that even the swap meet has changed since we were last in LV almost three years ago...getting harder to find stuff that we want to add to our collection, and we find this...thingy.
Going through airport security, they asked me what it is. Ummmmm...."a plexiglass sculpture" is the best I can come up with. Any ideas? Has anyone seen the chip before??? The colors are listed in TCR & C&W, for a $500 chip, but not the mold. (In fact, while Howdy's guide to Nevada chips shows a Riv $5 baccarat chip in the inverted H&C mold, TCR doesn't seem to list any inverted H&C...??)
And while I'm asking for help...does anyone know how to clean up the surface of an acrylic/plexiglass chip tomb? I've wondered about Rain-X, or maybe car wax?? Some of the flaws are internal, but it has some scratches on the outside too.
It's a single chip...the extra arc on the right is a reflection.
A close up of the mold...see how the hats & canes are upside down, when compared to a regular H&C?
There appears to be a signature on the lower right corner...???
The back...there's some kind of spacer or holder behind the chip
