No not a replacement, just an additional resource. I cut my teeth on John & Kens website and withour it wouldn't know half of what I do about Aus/NZ chips. I just really wanted to create my own website that not only showcased the Aussie & NZ chips but also listed all the memorabilia/vollevtables as well. On top of that it seemed like a good opportunity to back end my whole collection as well as add a trader (and eventually a want) section. I also find Greg & Charles CG & CCG numbering system invaluable so wanted to add that feature as well.
In addition, there will be further development that will add addtional linked pages on casino history and information.
If you want to look far into the future, I have spoken to a couple of members/collectors about a pictorial guide for international chips (not just Australia & New Zeland but any foireign country you can think of). I have a reasonable collection & those I have spoken to have HUGE collections of foreign chips. Imagine Fran Alejandres site except with contributors from all over. It would be the biggest online chip guide project out there but I think I'll have to wait 30 years until I retire to even start thinking about that.
Anyway, that's pretty much why I did it. And don't worry mate, no offense taken to your post. Critisism or not, is usually more productive than praise.
Cheers, Tim.
