Quite a few of these early A.C. chips (Boardwalk Regency and Resorts International in particular) were prone to this exposure to UV light. Either from sunlight, or flourescents like like in a store. Sometimes dealers at outdoor flea markets have had the same chip on display for sale in a case for long periods of time and this is the result.
