Steve, that is not always the case...

Please allow me to preface this comment with the fact that I am a member of the Slab-Free Chapter (Club) and I do not endorse chip slabbing. However, some time ago, the Slab-Free organizers offered that the items in the scan below are NOT examples of slabbing. While I believe that the subject item of this thread is an example of a slabbed chip(s), not every chip encased in a slab holder is by default as salbbed chip.

Steve, a major tenant of anti-slabbing for chips..
It is a slab..because you have to pay NGC or PCGS
Also, I've been told if you cant remove the item
