Hi Mike, I was born and raised on the east side of the city of Detroit. That address on Gratiot was/is in the city of East Detroit now called Eastpointe. They might have some records you could search. East Detroit became a city in 1929 so there may be some records available. East Detroit became Eastpoint in 1992. Hope this helps.
