Thanks to Gene Trimble I have spent hours on the telephone, $ in gas, and even forays into garage sales and auctions in the LaSalle-Peru, Il.(my home town) area for the past eight months. It all began with Gene's post on the BB regarding some illegal chips sold to John Essl in LaSalle, Il. I read the post in passing as I had NO interest in illegal chips. Just happened that I was aware of a tavern run by Mr. Essl's son in LaSalle. I made a couple calls and pretty soon was knee deep in the history of illegal clubs in my hometown, once called "Little Reno!" Know I'm hooked!!! After eight months, some GREAT stories, some REAL characters, and as yet NO CHIPS!! Thanks Gene just what I need another thing to collect!!!
