She is still out of work but is on salary so not a big deal for her. They expect to be open by early next week. My oldest daughter did hire two of the BB Kings waiters to help rehab her house today since they have been out of work. The hope is that federal emergency money will be available to cover lost wages. Most of the downtown area has been closed all week and in many places the power is still out. My family got lucky - we own 4 houses and none got water damage from the 13+ inches of rain we had. Sadly it seems like the hardest hit areas have the people who can least afford to pay for the repairs. Many lost everything. To give you an idea of damage they had a picture of the Operyland Hotel in todays paper and the water line was 6 inches from the top of the hotel rooms ceiling. The hotel will be closed until Christmas.
