Chip Storage. Something really different!...

I still have not settled on how I want to display/store my collection. This is based largely on the fact that most option selected has a cost associated to it that can easily approach the costs associated to the items being showcased! In my mind, I am delaying the high costs of display/storing in favor of acquiring more items.

At the same time I have experimented with various storage/display methods and at the present time I have several different methods going on, but they all tend to use 2"x 2" PVC-free flips. I presently use 5 x 5 pages (and the flips) in separate 3-ring binders to hold Manufacturer Samples, Personal Chips, Fantasy Chips, Club-Related Chips", Chip-sets and Win Cards chips. I use double-row storage boxes for my Nevada collection, California Card Room collection, Native American collection and Riverboat collection.

For my Atlantic City collection, Wet chips collection and Colorado collection, I use these:

Yep, 35mm slide trays!

And for my very special chips, I use these:

Generally speaking, the 40 count slide trays are easily available at thrift stores for a quarter a piece. The cases often go for $2.00, and with the demise of film photography (slides) these are quite available without having to pay the high prices for new. Smaller trays are also available (30), and I don't recommend the circular trays.
