Re: LSC Chip Todd & Records
In Response To: LSC Chip ()

You are quoting an ID from the Mason Hub mold records for a chip with LSC Club as a logo.
There are also LSC chips that have the same ID on the Harp Mold and Web mold chips.
Joe Torphy had a hot little illegal club business back in 1943. grin

Hub mold was distributed by the Mason Company Chicago, St Louis, and San Fransco. They were made at USPC in Cincinnati prior to 1949 then Burt in Maine after 1949.
Hub records have been available to us for quite some time.

Harp mold chips distributed by Taylor Company in Chicago and made by Burt In Maine.
Web Mold chips distributed by Ace Sportworks, NYC and made by Burt in Maine.

The chip in Jim's scan is a Square in Circle mold distributed by various distributors and most recently by Portland Card Co, Portland OR, who took over the mold from HE Robbins Company.
Portland Card Company records are available to us, although I do not have the record on the LSC SqinCir chip. Most of their chips went to the Pacific North West area.

The point I am making is, not all LSC chips were made for the same person.
