The chip in Jim's post is an Incused Rectangle mold. We don't know much about this mold. Very few chips were made on it. We think it was made at the Burt Company in Maine but we have no idea if it was ever dustributed by a local distributor.
Distributors designed and paid for their molds in most cases. The molds were kept and used by manufactures. In those days only 3 manufactures made clay compression molded chips. USPC in Cincinnati, Burt In Maine, and TR King in Los Angeles.
The Incu Ret mold GAC is and more than likely always will be a UFC.
You will find all known molds here.
