Re: Baker's Dozen of UFCs looking for IDs...

Jim,
John is absolutely correct. The C-14 is from Cuba. It is supposed to have been from Club 14 (or casino 14), called by the locals "El casinito de la catorze" (The little casino at the 14) because it was located at the corner of El Prado and 14th St.

The chip you have in yellow, small key and 4 black insert with a coat of arms in the center "was used in Cuba". Like many illegal casinos in the USA, during times of pressure, were closed and moved to Cuba in its entirity and then re-located mostly in the "red Zone/Port" or to "China Town". I do not know its origin but quite a few of these have been found in that area of Cuba. Maybe somebody else knows the origin here.

Jim, I am missing that C-14 color and the scan I have is awful. I would appreciate a nice scan of the chip for placement in the Cuban Catalog we are doing. Thanks in advance!

Luis
