Singapore opened its second casino (the Marina Bay Sands) last Tuesday (04/27/2010).
Singapore's first casino, the US $4.4 billion Resorts World Sentosa built by Malaysia’s Genting Group, opened for business on Feb. 14. The Marina Bay Casino opened on April 27th.
My wife's business partner was in Singapore at the GO and grabbed some chips from the Marina Bay casino for me. I have no idea if they are GO or standard chips. I don't think they are in $$. I should have them in hand on Monday evening.
Please check - no chips yet from this place. These are unseen!! (Even I haven't seen them yet! )
I was told that Singapore is very cautious about allowing gambling in their country. If you are a Singapore resident, you have to pay an entry fee of $70 to $100 - not sure of the conversion rate. Non-Singapore residents need to show their passport for free entry.
If you want a chance to win the chip, please link something similar to "I Want It" to this post. Contest closes @ noon EST on Sunday. I will have my daughter draw the winner.
