Hi Charles,

I usually notify the eBay winning high-bidder
requesting they respond within 24-hours if
they still wish to purchase the item they bid on
(after not receiving payment in 14-days). I
include the eBay item number and also send a copy to
eBay should I decide not to relist the item or offer
it to those who may have underbid the winner (which
some people hate for reasons unknown to me).

It also wouldn't hurt to be "gentle" should you
relist the item and note in your
next description that you're relisting an item
because "happy-bidder-4Q-XYZ" did not follow through
with their end of the transaction. <G>
