4 or 5 years ago I spent two days at the downtown San Diego Library. I searched through old phonebooks and Polk Directories looking for cardrooms anywhere in San Diego county since 1945. Here's what I found:

White's Card Room 807 4th Ave. SD A. J. White 1956-65
Whitey's Card Room 323 "E" St. SD 1972

I never noticed before, but Dick included the addresses from WHITE"S CARD ROOM along with WHITEY'S.
WHITEY'S have a zig-zag mold.
