** FLAMINGO CAPRI item of the day (or so vbg) **

Here are the "miscellaneous" chips promised to be shown. Please note that all of these were actually issued by the Flamingo Capri casino. The next post will show the Borland Flamingo Capri imitations.

The 25c is a very rare chip. BTW, I keep bugging David Spragg to update The Borland Hot-Stamp Chips article on his website (originally issued in 2004) to take this chip off the list. He knows he needs to make the change. vbg

The Chip Rack has a rust version of these freeplay no cash value chips listed. I challenged the existence of this chip years ago as I've never seen one (nor do I know anyone that has), so if there is one out there I'd certainly like to see one. But for now I believe it is an incorrect listing. It should be noted that the rust version is not listed in The Official U.S. Casino Chip Price Guide.

This is a very rare chip indeed. It is thought to have been a first issue. I am still working on validating when this chip was issued and what exactly it was used for. It should be noted that this chip is not listed in The Chip Rack.

There is a Borland issue of this chip that often confuses collectors (because it was issued in a similar beige color) as to which version is the casino issued chip. When I post the Borland chips I will show the chips side by side.

This is a legitimate casino issued chip and also needs to be taken off of Spragg's article titled The Borland Hot-Stamp Chips.
