Yearly maintenance and follow-up treatments are less expensive by simply probing into the soil; rather than drilling into the block to get above the footing/below the slab.
A very important factor to consider when shopping for a house.
Drywood termites are a completely different story; they do not need any contact with the soil...
(We don't have the freeze to knock down colonies)
Just another case where some slabs are better than others...
