The Neon boneyard is currently closed as they move ahead with construction of the permanent museum. You all know they moved the lobby of the La Concha to be their visitors center, but starting about 1 1/2 months ago, ALL signs were relocated to the parking lot of the Cashman Center just to the north.

As far as I have heard, there are NO tours being given, but for the way they set up the temporary area, (see pic) you can actually get much closer to many signs than before if you were just looking over the old fence.

In talking to the crane operator moving the signs, he said they will restore 100 neon signs and have them lit along a pathway around the new museum grounds- will be a must see when they are finished.
