Grew up in South Bend, Indiana....played football & Basketball in HS, was a better football player, got several scolorships, but was not smart enough to study, so I did not go to college, except the "College Of Hard Knocks. In 1959 i went into the USAF, played base football, was semi-pro.....played 1 year, was a starting safety, then partied my last year in Spain
