I was in the San Fernando Vally in 1994 for the Northridge (Senior year at Cal State Northridge) and they both lasted about as long. But, this one was a much more gentle ride here in San Diego than what I experienced in 1994.

The odd thing about this one is that after about 10 seconds I thought it was dying down. It actually picked up a bit of force. I wonder if it was just the wave traveling through different soil or something that sort of dampened it out for a bit.

This was my kids' (4 and 6) first one that they could feel. the were enjoying watching the fish tank sway but remained pretty calm. I was upstairs and felt the house moving side to side.

Sounds like only minor damage even at the center in Mexico which is good. I hope the earth takes a rest. this is getting ridiculous lately!
