I dont think anyone disagrees with you that these Political threads are not helpful to anyone.

However I do not agree with your comment implying that the club is full of racist members who spew hate.

Yes, I have seen some racest comments, mostly from one person that is no longer a member. But can you paint a club of 2,000 members by the comments of one or two?

People feel strongly about whats happening in our world, on both sides. The economy is in the tank and people are losing their jobs.

Racism is everywhere in this world. I am not condoning it, but I see it on the street, at work, in stores, and yes once in a while here on the board.

Will I quit my job because I hear someone make a Racist comment at work? Do I consider the entire company a bunch or Racists because someone sent me a joke cartoon?

Obviously not. So then why would I threaten to quit a hobby I love because of some comments that a person made?

I have made many hundreds of friends in this club over the years, and yes there are a few people I dont like. That does not make me want to quit because those I dont care for are still members.

Along that same line, if you consider the person who made the most racial comments is now a non member, by quitting the club, you are now joining the same racist group.... The non-members.

Does not make much sense does it?

Just something to consider and I hope you do reconsider.
