About a month ago, I posted a message saying my wife found a humorous ad in the latest Publisher's Clearing House envelope about Casino Chips for sale. Curiousity got the best of me and I had to find out exactly what the informative "Guide to Casino Chip Collecting" was all about. Well, yesterday I received my package and boy did it suck.

The informative guide was 4 pages and contained little if any helpful information. They do mention the CC&GTCC (no info on joining however) a few times, but never tell what the letters stands for, only referring to it as the "Chip Club."

At the bottom of the last page is a listing of magazines and books, and although the editions listed are not the most current, it seems to be thorough. Unfortunately, although they are all listed, there is no information on how to order or addresses.

The four chips which came with the order were: 25c Hollywood Park, 50c Cactus Jacks, $1 Mirage Springs (CA), Bally's (AC).

The one bright spot (and probably making the 3 easy installments of $3.95 worthwhile) would have to be to handy 4x6" black bag with a pull string with the words "Casino Chips" stamped in gold letters. Man, if that isn't the tackiest thing I have ever seen.
