I agree that I would rather have the cars built there as opposed to China. As far as it having much bearing on illegal immigration, I doubt it as the number of illegals vs. the amount of Mexican auto workers would not be enough to stem the tide.
I think though what we need to consider is the loss of American Jobs.
I'm sure you would agree that you would rather have the jobs stay here and the Mexicans stay there but that doesn't seem to be one of the choices.
When you add to that the fact that the INS refuses to enforce the laws we seem to be in a lose lose situation.

Funny, I read a tidbit on the Mexican laws pertaining to immigration seems pretty hypocritical especially where they all but deliver the illegals to the border.

I'm wondering how long it will be before Mexico applies for statehood
