For the benefit of those readers who are not familiar with FUN, the Florida United Numismatist organization (of which I am a member) referred to by club member Richard Bernhard, I just did an internet search for FUN and found out that their table fees are $750 each; or $1,300.00 for a corner table. If you will multiply these numbers times the SEVERAL HUNDRED tables on the FUN bourse floor you can understand why FUN does not charge admission to their 15,000 convention visitors! Remember, quite a number of these dealers at FUN are offering coins that routinely sell for thousands of dollars and up.

Here is a section I've copied from the FUN website regarding the FUN auctions;
"Heritage Coin Auctions our official auction company, conducts the world's foremost numismatic auctions at every FUN convention. In January, 2007 at FUN's 52nd Annual Convention in Orlando, Heritage Coin Auctions realized a combined total of $75,439,127. This was the largest sum ever realized, at auction, in numismatic history. This total beat the previous record which was set at FUN's 50th Anniversary Convention in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida by a whopping $14,294,318."

We not quite in the same league as FUN Richard. The fee that Heritage Coin Auctions pays to FUN for the priviledge of conducting the FUN auctions alone probably exceeds all the dealer table fees collected that are paid to a convention.
