we had it happen to us in New York New York once, a few years ago. It was a Wheel of Fortune machine and my wife played the wheel bonus, it stopped on a win but then the machine failed. I knew about the malfunction rule, and it was tough when it happened to us, but the attitude of the supervisor who was with us when the machine was checked meant we never went back - it was only a small win, but he was really rude to us and said we should have felt lucky that we even got our credits back that were in the machine!

I did write to the NYNY to complain about the supervisor, and suggested that perhaps they could pay the win we missed into a charity (we were only talking about $50 or so, but it was the principle), but didn't even get a reply.

Sure my absence means nothing to the NYNY and I don't miss them either but I must admit the attidude of the staff there did bug me. Now if I though I'd won $$millions I might be a bit more peeved!!!
