Gene asked me about when they stopped making crest and seal chips. I gave a quick answer of the latest I could think of off-hand. I was in a hurry; it was not a definitive opinion, etc.
Anyway, I forgot about these two chip sets that were made by Atlantic Standard Molding in the 1990's. (Each set is complete with 300 mint chips, and I am selling them.) The chips have a mat or linen finish, not smooth like the classic crest and seals, but I guess I have to call them crest and seals since my definition is: (1) clay (or clay-like) chip, (2) litho inlay and (3) plain/flat mold. One thing I don't like about the chips is that the inlay is just black and white, like done by computer. I don't know if they are still being made.
Robt.
