ummmm, could we leave the "employees" out of it? I'm a dealer and I have NOTHING to do with all of that <g>. I do agree with you 100% as far as them plotting the collector's interest in their "product" by making them higher denominations. A PERFECT example of this locally is the Sam's Town 5-25-100 LE's. They had their 5th anniv. LE and their Millennium LE. the 5th anniv LE was $5-2500 $25-1000 $100-500, their Mil. Chips were $5-1500 $25-600 $100-300. I understand that there are people out there that actually DO collect $100 chips and quite honestly I think they could use some therapy <vbg> but for the most part how many collectors REALLY have the interest in (or can afford) collecting $25 and above chips? I know I enjoy the hell out of finding something I don't have and trading for it or buying it, I prefer to trade because it makes it more of a challenge for me, I can go several places online and BUY just about any chip you can think of. In order for me to trade for that same chip I have to have (or find) something that the individual with that chip is interested in trading for. I do try to make sure that when I'm dealing and I have a stack with several new (clean/sharp edged) chips in it I try to keep those chips back towards the back in case someone happens to come in and ask for one, but as far as the high-dollar LE's, They don't ever make it to the games so there's no need for me to even worry about trying to collect them. Not to mention the fact that I can actually picture in my mind exactly what my wife's face would look like immediately following me breaking the news to her that I'm now going to start collecting $25 and $100 chips <VBG>. Then during the divorce proceedings she'd end up getting custody of my chips anyway probably. Heck, this is Mississippi, I probably wouldn't even get visitation rights.
