Much of this board agreed with what the Bush administration told them. So the gov't is full of lies when your party is not in control of things I guess? Not speaking directly at you just saying in general. It's fine, none of this is anything new for this board.
When people watch and believe what shows like fox 'news' say and see maniacs actually praying for the bill NOT to pass, praying for millions of their own brothers and sisters to NOT get insurance you have to wonder about their mental state. In Fox's own words, they are not a news agency, but an entertainment show which has an agenda to promote certain goals and ideas. They are the opposite of Fair and Balanced by their own definition and should not be taken as right or factual. Hopefully it takes more to believe someone is 'Fair and Balanced' than just for them to tell you they are. Yet people have the audacity to be skeptcial of the President but think Beck is just a straight shooter. I would trust Bush before anyone on Fox news. That is pretty sad! But at least they show lots of pretty graphics and even prettier models, oops, I mean 'correspondants'!
I suggest people watch Olberman if anyone is interested in facts and proof to back them up. But that's no fun right?
Someone on here said we are 'screwed' now. Actually I was screwed when I was not allowed private insurance due to a heart problem I was told I was born with but I am just as active and healthy as the next guy. Now I am the opposite of screwed but surely someone out there is pissed off that I am now allowed to get insurance. Thanks whoever you are but insurance is meant for people who NEED IT and we all will if not already need it!
I think it is amazing that the worst we can say about Obama is how many hours the website is showing the bills for us to read as compared to his 'promise' to leave them up for a week or whatever. LOL - Bush and his boss Cheney were playing with our lives and all our money, yet we want to complain about how long a website is showing something, put it in perspective, this doesn't affect us like Bush's lies did.
Lastly, these lawsuits against the bill claim that Americans can't be forced to buy insurance, but actually we are forced to buy auto insurance, but I guess someone would say we aren't forced to drive a vehicle but then I would remind them that we live in a time where it is almost impossible not to, so you really don't have a choice around auto insurace.
Have fun,
Dave
