Unfortunately, I think if/when there is another change in party control ... more of the same "you did it to us, now it's our turn to do it to you" mentality will be put into play again ... and it will be the citizens again that will suffer.

When will elected national politicians understand they should be doing what is best for the country? Passing legislation by holding out ones vote to see how much 'blackmail' can be extorted for special projects in their home state is not what this country's politics should be about.
