Once a slabbed chip is brought to market and sold
In Response To: Not Me ()

~~~ it will be replaced by another slabbed chip to be sold.
It doesn't make any difference to the slabber who brought the slab to market; Mrs Jones or XYC-Coin Company... all the slabber knows is that slab will need to be replaced because there was interest in that chip... The slabber could care less if a chipper removes the chip from its encassed state...
Example: I'm willng to bet that these slabbed chips have not been sitting around for 5 or 6 years; but are recent. Buy them (and do whatever you please with them)... and you have not discouraged the slabber; you helped the slabber and provided confidence that their product is marketable.
