You would have to be pretty green, both as a seller and a buyer, to not know the implications of dealing with slabbed chips. What if someone's kids inherited a bunch of slabbed chips and put them up for sale? Would you insist they break the slab before selling the chip?
Would you not bid because the parent was a blacklisted slabber? There are plenty of scenarios I could construct where a blanket boycott would not work.
In my mind, slabbing is long dead. It is rare when we see a slabbed chip up on eBay. If there was a concerted effort by a grading company to re-introduce slabbing, I would probably adjust my attitude, but in todays climate, it gets minimal consideration.
