Below is a scan of 3 chips from Casino Filipino, each chip worth 10 somethings. The chip on the left has been in my collection for some time. I don't remember where I got it. A few months ago someone, without warning, sent me the chip on the right as a "bonus." My first thopught was, "I got that." Then I compared the two chips. The chip on the right has a very different finish, looks almost like a piece of clear mylar over the coin insert. But the text underneath looks etched, not stamped like the left one, and has no "depth" or texture. Also, the text "New Pagcor" is clearly different. So I happily put the new chip in my collection as a variation, and posted my discovery here.

I received the chip in the middle yesterday from a regular on the board, as a surprise bonus for a Bonanza $1 multi-chip deal. My first thought was, "what a nice surprise, too bad I already have it." Fooled again! The new chip has the text sizes of the right chip, with the normal stamped finish of the left chip. Woweee! I love variations!!! Thanks!

The moral of the story, always compare your chips.
