So I got a message from a wonderful club member asking if I was coming to the convention. The simple answer is probably not. The long answer is that the school system builds in 4 snow days, we used 10. The people at the state board of ed passed a ruling allowing us to eliminate five make up days, but the county has said that the students days were forgiven but employees must make them up. So the last day for students in the Thursday before the convention and the last day for teachers is the Thursday of the convention. So my question is, at the end of the school year after the students have left, and after grade are due 2 days later, WTF do I do for 3 days, make lesson plans for the fall, run copies, pick my nose?
