To answer your question, you would have to read the complete article; visit with Monsieur Marcel Baruero of the Monte-Carlo Coin Club in Monaco...or any Numismatist of your choice who will not only tell you that the "original imitation" is worth more than the original, but will also tell you that because of the existance of those 2-franc 2-franc jetons may explain the appearance of a fourth variety in silvered brass. The base-metal variety [or counterfeit] is prized more than its silver counterpart. This should answer your question.
