Lake Las Vegas casino closes its doors
The Casino MonteLago closed Sunday in Lake Las Vegas, and the Ritz-Carlton plans to close on May 2. The 3,600-acre development, located 17 miles from Las Vegas, is in bankruptcy proceedings. "It's kind of far away from everything," said Brent Peshina, 34, of Las Vegas. "The sad thing is that if you don't live out here, there's nothing to draw people out here." Las Vegas Sun (3/15)
