Brooks Club dice and Fortune Cookie roulette?
Wondering about an old die that I found yesterday at a sale in Palm Springs.
On one of the sides it says Brooks Club BUT on closer inspection this die looks like it has 3 different cancellations on it? Hard to make out but the words LUCKY and Little have also been struck on some of the other sides. Would this have been a common thing in the old days for a club to perhaps close and another casino restamp with their name on it? Anyone know where the Brooks Club was located? Was double stamping(actually triple)allowed in the old days?
I also picked up a couple of chips from a place called the Fortune Cookie? One has an A on it and the other has a G on it,so I assume that they are roulettes?Yellow chips with hot stamping. Sorry but I am at a hotel right now and cannot post pictures.
SO.....BROOKS CLUB and FORTUNE COOKIE. Anyone?
