He played in tonight's Pala Deepstack..I played with him for a couple of hours at my table.
Prize Pool of the entire tournament was only $20,000 with about $6,000 to the winner. $30,000 starting chips for $180. Obviously he must have gotten a lucrative appearance fee for showing up.
I played for 6 hours and finished about 60th out of 130. Went all-in pre-flop after a raise, and I dominated with my A-J vs Villain's K-J. However, Villain sucked out against my A-J.
The entire tournament will take prolly 10-12 hours. I played for 6 hours, with the crazy deep structure..30 minute levels.
Mike will be back for Deepstack III..May 1st. However the buy-in then will be $550 instead of $180..a little too rich for my blood. It was an awesome experience..I even beat him in a few hands..I was surprised how quiet and subdued he was..nothing at all like his TV personna..
