"Been trying for weeks to get new canon scanner to work. installed & uninstalled several times to no avail. Was looking on this site last night for a possible fix & by accident while looking in control panel noticed scanners & cameras, when i opened this folder, it had listed, my new canon 4200f & my old agfa52e.
I had deleted all traces of the agfa scanner before i installed the new canon scanner. I highlighted the agfa52e & clicked remove, rebooted the computer & as windows reloaded the canon scanner came to life. Tested the scanner & is working fine. Today i moved the usb lead from original 1.1 socket on mainboard to pci usb2.0 socket & scans are very quick."
