Some New Chips: Some History: An Offer

I have acquired some old illegal chips which may interest some of you. The Para-Dice Lounge (open 1920's or '30's until the 1940's) was located in East Peoria, Illinois. The club was owned and operated by a Joseph Rafool who was a member of the Shetland Gang. (I am still researching his link to the Chicago mobs of the day.) Rafool sold the name "Para-Dice" to the current owners of the current Riverboat, the Par-A-Dice which is now in East Peoria. From what I have learned, he died in 1997, a very bitter man because he sold the 'name' to the Par-A-Dice for a ridiculously low price. I have 20 sets of these Rectangles & Hearts mold chips (TCTHRT) available for sale. Each set contains a Pink 50¢ Para Dice Chip and a Red $5. Para Dice Chip. I will sell each set for $20. (that includes postage). The scan shows you an "average" set of the chips. All clearly show the name "Para Dice" but there is some variation in gold stamping--a few better than the scan, some not quite as good as the scan. If you are interested, please contact me and I will have a set on their way to you. Thanks. Doug
