Hey Don,
I guess the basic question is how many "variations" of the club logo is acceptable. The ANA has one.
If everyone in the membership makes their own version of the logo how - what does this say about our organization?
If a power dealer on ebay uses it in 50 - 100 auctions per week, and the general public (i.e. non-members) see their logo and then notices that there are a number (if not all) the other sellers on ebay use a different one, would they think that this is the same organization or a different one. Recall not everyone thinks like an engineer... Heck, some engineers don't think like engineers... (Yes I am an engineer and can say this because of the other engineers I work with. - This is not intended to offend anyone one that might be reading this that is either an engineer or knows one... Just an observation)
I know this might seem like a small issue - yet if we want to grow and show that we are a "professional" organization then a reading by the officers, (I believe), is needed. A debate between two members will accomplish nothing...
I've also noticed that most chip collecting web sites that I've been and use the club logo, have utilized the Prototypes that were on the club web site.
Regards,
Dick
