I didn't jump in because my recollection of one event is fuzzy and I thought Louis Marshall or Ed Hertel would react. Somewhere someone wrote about the owners of the Balinese Room and how Rose Maceao (if that is the right spelling) would play. This caused concerns to the others and so she had her own chips which she would take as IOU's when she lost. At least that is how I recall the story. If that is not a figment of my overactive imagination could this be one of her IOU chips?
