I've received an email from a very well-informed chipper, questioning the choice of of my words "may apply" in my posted bb response to David Ganz. I deliberately chose those words simply because I have no legal background, nor do I have any experience or influence in the legal profession.

Jim Reilly, whom I respect and support in his bid for CC & GTCC President, and David Ganz whom I respect and enthusiastically supported while he was the A.N.A. President, are both good friends for our respective hobby's. Until a court definitively rules that chips DO fall under the provisions of the Hobby Protection Act, I believe that my choice of the word "May" should not be interpreted that I have any doubts, but that until such matter is brought before a legal challenge, the word "may" is an appropriate choice of vocabulary that a reasonable person might use to express himself.
