I think Lacey would have had a pretty good handle

~~~ on what all the property was named in the early days. Though he lived in a neigboring town (Wellington, FL), I never did speak to him, but I did have a rather long conversation with Joseph Vernon, who was Lansky's lawyer (when I was doing some Florida/Cuba research) in the early 1950s... and though we did talk about Las Vgas, I don't recall any "Pink Flamingo" ever being mentioned... and Mr Vernon was a whip when it came to spitting out information regarding club names. He told me that he was working on a book back then, but it was mostly about Broward County, FL... Lost contact with him and later heard in 1998 he was ill and moved to Calif. I trusted everything these gentlemen told me back then; since lots of it was never printed in any books I know of, and yet virtually every one of them repeated the same stories... grin
