Bottle and chip story

When I lived in Knoxville, TN there was a very active bottle collecting club. They started having bottle shows and eventually, to get more people to come to the show, they starting inviting antique dealers. Cindy and I decided to get rid of a bunch of stuff from an antique business we had years before so we set up at the show. We did it because it only cost a few dollars more to set up than to just pay the entry fee to visit. On the first day I went around to all of the booths to see what chips the dealers had for sale. I asked almost every dealer if they had any and one guy said that he had a poker chip collection that he was thinking of selling. I went back the next day and half of his table was covered with books of poker chips. Of course I asked how much he wanted for them but the price was very high (like $2.50 per chip). Remember most of these are very common poker chips and he had over 1000 of them. He told me he would not break up the collection but I finally convinced him to sell me most of his C&S chips for about $12 each. At the time that was not a great deal. What made me grab the chips was when he decided to throw in a box of miscellaneous chips. Among the chips was a reverse die cut Last Frontier/Club 21 $25 chip. The old TCR said it was only a Z1 chip but I later found out that there are only 6 of them known. He actually pointed the chip out to me and mentioned that it was a neat chip! He then flipped it about two feet high and it landed in the box with the rest of the chips. My heart almost stopped when he did that since I was afraid that it may have been damaged. Long story short - I bought the C&S chips and got the Last Frontier thrown in for free. It is still the most valuable chip in my collection and all because of a bottle show.
