Yes, I do realize there are Muslims who read this board. Should they take offense? Did I say anything offensive? Now, I'll admit, the link between the Taliban and Muslim people in general IS a stereotype and can be taken wrong BUT it was said in jest, hence the smiley face.

I'm "Hispanic" and I'm Jewish. I HAVE Muslim friends, Christian friends and friends from just about every religion I can think of. Just about all of them have commented on my religious beliefs considering my "Hispanic" background. "Funny, you do look Jewish!" Should I take offense or take the opportunity to educate them?

Does it matter to me if Obama is Muslim? No, not really. But if he IS, he should just admit it. THAT'S why I posted the pictures (and to make a joke and tie into the whole Taliban thing).

I don't particularly care for political posts or for those who fervently rant to get their points across but I deal with it and put it ALL aside when it comes to what we all have in common - our hobby. If it really bothers some to see the pictures I posted, move on like I do. I've met many GREAT people here and maybe my skin is just too thick to get all riled up over something so petty which, I'll admit, has gotten me into trouble in the past, but if you knew me you'd know everything I say has to be taken with a grain of salt... or rock salt if you prefer.

Now, as for his "crotch salute", THAT bothers me, but there's not much I can do about that until elections. I'll be very careful who I vote for. Even my father, who has been a Democrat supporter his whole life is wondering why he voted Obama in, as are MANY of my friend who voted for his as well. And if it's important, as I'm sure it's not, I didn't vote for him.
