To the best of my knowledge, no one has died as a result of the GM recall and that certainly is a good thing.
Unfortunately that doesn't hold true for Toyota.

Certainly having recalls where human life or limb are at stake are much more important but the point I was trying to make was that this is not new to automobile recalls and they seemt to be a lot more focused in this particular case.

One has to wonder why?
