You can probably get good treatment that way rather than mediocre treatment at many facilities.
Granted that you like change or feel luckier in one place than the other but bottom line the roulette wheels all have 36 numbers, The cards have 52 in the deck and the dice have 12 spots.
The other unwritten rule is to play some slots
Look at the math. The law in N.J mandates that slots pay out a minimum of 83%. Certainly even the lower denominations pay a bit more but that represents a whopping 17% profit for the casino.
Now look at something like roulette if you have a game with 0 and 00 the house edge is only 5.62%
Figure it takes a minute to play a game of roulette and you are betting $25 that represents 25X60 or $1500
with and edge of 5.62% the house earns $84.30 per hour and that is with a pretty hefty bet every spin
Now figure most places might comp you 40% of that, that's a bit more than $50 an hour
Now that's roulette. When you look at Black Jack where the hold is calculated at 2% or less you are lucky to get a fraction of that $50 Comp.
Now look at yourself playing Dollar slots. Dollar machine $3 per pull 15-20 pulls per minute
Lets look at the low end $3X15 pulls per minute = $45.
$45X60 minutes = $2700 and hour. The hold can fairly be calculated at 10% which is $270 and 40% of that is
$108.
The bottom line is that you will get 5 or more times in comps playing slots.
Do I suggest you change your game, absolutely not but just that you should play a bit of slots to "earn your room" and if you are comfortable stay put in one place or pay the fee everywhere else.
That said, A/C as I have said has become it's own worst enemy and as things seem to get worse, they get dumber and dumber
They would rather see the hotel empty than fill it up and at least generate some revenue.
If you want, Email me and I'll give you a few names at the Taj if you want to stay there.
Imho they are nowhere as bad with the rooms at least
