Thanks for the fast replies. I couldn't ID them years ago. Right after I made my post, I found them in Hertel's 4th Edition Illegal Chip Guide on page 72: Star Bar, Pekin, Illinois.

I had looked at David's site, but saw two entries, and they didn't look that complete for some reason. I passed by too quickly. Going back I see that one says: Stag (?) Bar, Pekin ILL. (1949 it looks like).

Is it Star or Stag?

Chips are pretty common, yes?

I wish one could edit the posts to this board after the originasl post is made.
